Boskovice - Panorama

Test your film knowledge and enjoy a fun evening full of excitement, laughter and great prizes! The pub quiz about European cinema will test your memory and observation - from cult classics to current hits. One part of the questions will also be dedicated to the visionary filmmaker Paolo Sorrentino, whose retrospective the festival presents this year. So if you know his films, you have an advantage! Form a team, join the game and compete for attractive festival prizes!

The winning team will take home luxury dimmable LED bulbs from festival partner Philips Hue. The teams in second and third place can look forward to refreshments at the bar and free tickets to film screenings.

This year, the pub quiz will be held at Bio Central in Hradec Králové, the Metro 70 cinema in Prostějov, cinema Svět in Hodonín, and the Panorama cinema in Boskovice.

After the screening of the film Christy, there will be a discussion with representatives of the Patron program. Together, we will open the topic of adolescence after leaving the orphanage, the need for a safe environment, and the great role that one reliable person can play. The debate will offer concrete experiences from practice and show that help does not have to be spectacular to be essential.

The Patron program helps young people from orphanages integrate into society and prepare for an independent life. After leaving the orphanage, teenage boys and girls are on their own for most things, and therefore it is important for them to know that they have someone to trust and to turn to. The Patron also offers them a rare one-on-one relationship.

The Patron creates a solid point on which young adults can lean after leaving the orphanage. He or she is not tasked with taking on the role of sponsor or parent, but offers his or her time and life experience. He or she also functions as a positive role model, a guide to everyday activities, and helps with successful independence – finding housing, work, and building a relationship. The patron is a volunteer (30+) who has no criminal record, functions in society without problems, and has achieved independence himself.

We invite you to a discussion after the film Whispers in the Woods, a visually impressive animated story about journey, cooperation and survival in a changing world. This film raises questions about man's relationship with nature, the need for respect for all living beings and the necessity to adapt to changing conditions. What role do we play in nature and animals? How is climate change affecting life on Earth, and how can we help protect nature and animal rights? How will the planned changes to European Union legislation help improve developments? The moderator of the discussion will be Sabina Vosecká, and guests will include representatives of the organization Hlas zvířat, Tereza and Robert Plicka, other guests will be announced.
